Project Octopus - Drop Box for VMware?

It would appear that VMware are developing a multi platform file sharing system very similar to dropbox except with corporate controls.
One of my major problems with technologies like dropbox is that you dont know where your data has gone as it’s not controlled by your corporate systems. You can’t argue with the power of sharing files in a dropbox like fashion so rather than totally reject it i am pleased to see a major vendor taking it head on and offering a solution for corporates!

Lets hope VMware don’t do their current favourite game and make the product bonkers expensive :/
